The Directors
As a founding member, director & shareholder of JWR, I am exceptionally proud of the company’s growth, development and ever present customer centric ethos.
My accountancy career began as an office junior in 1977 and I steadily progressed through the tiers until finally reaching the role of Financial Director at the time of my appointment with JWR. Joining JWR in 1997 initially as their Head of Client Services, I focussed primarily on improving both internal and client accounting systems, procedures and standards to enhance efficiency.
My career development has enabled me to gain a unique first hand understanding and in depth knowledge of the mechanics of a business and I carry that experience into implementing our own finance systems, policies and procedures to this day.
I am very grateful to my colleagues and clients who we have helped create JWR into what it is today and I look forward with enthusiasm to our future.

I began my career in accountancy 17 years ago after hanging up my football boots for the last time playing as an apprentice for Portsmouth FC. (Well, who wouldn’t want to give up football to become an accountant!) I am ACA, ACCA qualified and a Chartered Tax Advisor and I joined the firm in 2011 and became a Director in 2013.
Most people would say a typical accountant would be someone who lives for excel spreadsheets and number crunching, but I would say I am not your typical accountant as for me it’s more about being able to help businesses be the best they can be and overcome business challenges.
I am a down to earth professional and will always be open and honest with people and talk to them on a level that is easy to understand. I believe that one of the key attributes an accountant needs to have is good communication skills, someone who can offer out the box solutions and someone who can offer a friendly, personal, pro-active service.
I understand the challenges people are faced with day to day and I always aim to provide solutions to resolve them. I like to strengthen all my client relationships on a deeper level and connect with people personally. I have a highly collaborative approach with business owners and organisations, working together to make sure they are structured in the most efficient way.
I specialise in group reorganisations designed to protect assets, reduce trading risks and being efficient from a tax perspective. Other areas of expertise include:
Expertise: Research and Development claims; EMI Share option scheme, EIS/SEIS claims, Share valuations, Assisting clients with buying and selling businesses, Exit/retirement planning, Business plans, Remuneration planning
